Our Book of Common Prayer in the Episcopal
Church invites us “to the observance of a holy Lent, by self
examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting and self denial; and by
reading and meditating on God’s holy Word.” (BCP, p. 265). Let’s accept
this invitation and look closer at what it means to use these forty days
to deepen our relationship with Christ and one another.
Members of our Christ Church family are
submitting personal reflections on the scripture of the day. Beginning Ash Wednesday, we will post a new meditation here and we invite you to reflect
upon these devotions as we journey through Lent, together.
Find a new reflection each day on our website at www.ccerva.org/lent or have new reflections sent to your email inbox each morning by clicking "subscribe" above.

Ash Wednesday Worship
Wednesday, February 17 | 8 AM & 7 PM | Online
Gather online for morning worship at 8 AM or evening worship at 7 PM.
At the evening service, clergy will lead you in imposing ashes on your head, if
you feel called to do so. In preparation of this service, please consider
preparing your own ashes ahead of time at home. Clergy will bless these ashes
during worship and you will be led in imposing them on your forehead and/or the
foreheads of your loved ones.
